Medical Skincare

The skincare department of Hautmedizin Westend: Victoria Schuh, Yana Shamrai and Erica Karozas-Zaig treat in the same rooms as our dermatologists – with a skin analysis before every treatment and a dermatologist just one door away.

What makes medical skincare different

Our aestheticians work inside a dermatology practice. Every treatment starts with a skin analysis and a conversation; in cases of acne, rosacea or sensitive skin we coordinate the approach with the treating dermatologists – and leave out whatever would not do your skin good at that stage. If a suspicious skin change comes to light during a treatment, a dermatologist's assessment is only a door away.

Your aestheticians

Three aestheticians make up our skincare department. They know the therapies our doctors prescribe, work with medical-grade NeoStrata peels and take their time over the skin analysis.

How a treatment works

At your first appointment we analyse your skin, ask about medical history, medication and your current routine, and then recommend what suits your skin – sometimes a single treatment, often a course over several weeks. After peels, consistent sun protection is essential for a few days; we go through everything else with you in person.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be a patient of the practice to book skincare?
No. The skincare department is open to everyone. If you are already under medical treatment with us, we coordinate the skincare with your therapy.
Who performs the treatments?
Our aestheticians Victoria Schuh, Yana Shamrai and Erica Karozas-Zaig. Medical procedures such as lasers or injections remain with our dermatologists.
Which treatment is right for me?
We clarify that in the skin analysis at your first appointment. For blemished skin the deep cleansing facial is usually the starting point; for dull skin or first fine lines a course of peels.
